Oil will be much less important than it is today in the next 10 years, Hugo Chavez is sustained by Oil, he buys his necessary majority (population, politicians, judges, etc.) with the money from Oil, he keeps Cuba alive with Oil and with the money he makes from Oil, if in the next 10 years the world starts adapting to other sources of energy, and if Hugo Chavez is still in power, he will go bankrupt, he destroyed Venezuela and he likes to work for the poor so much he increased poverty in the country, he is isolated in the Havana-Caracas-Buenos Aires Axis, now we all know what happens to alienated Axis that decide to fight against the rest of the world. The US won't have to move one finger unless Chavez strikes first, which is bad for the rest of Latin America, as he finances Coup attempts, guerrillas, drug smugglers and who knows what else, it would be much easier for everybody if the US assassinated Chavez, however, it is best, afterall, in the long term, to let him rot to death naturally, otherwise the myth would survive.
