The following guesses are actually for the next 10 years, in my opinion.

I think that it's possible that Sweden and Austria will leave the EU. And maybe Switzerland, Romania, and Bulgaria will join? (not Norway or Andorra though). the UK might too I guess.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was another Al-Quada attack on a G-8 country. My own country Canada is the only nation on Al-Quada's attack list which has not been attacked. We're hardly the world's most important target though.

I wouldn't be surprised either if a Soviet/Russian nuclear weapon found its way into a terrorist attack somewhere. Russian security is not what it used to be from what I've heard, and there are reports that some uranium is unaccounted for. I forget where I read that though. Maybe there will be a major confrontation with insurgents in Chechnya.

Maybe there will be Chinese-US war over Taiwan. I don't think the Chinese have the military force to take on the US right now, so maybe they won't risk such a war.

I don't really know how US-Iranian/Syrian relations are going to end up. Same with Venezuala.

If you want to believe a nutcase like Nostradamus, there will be a complete change in the lineup of powerful nations by 2025. I read that somewhere. :rotfl:

Or maybe...Universal Records will finally release Bachman-Turner Overdrive's Japan Tour Live on CD. I'd bet on Chinese democracy before that though - either the supposed Guns N Roses CD or actual Chinese democracy :rotfl:.

Seriously though, I think it is obvious that the world is heading into a period of major change - what the outcome will be is best left to history. Of course, we can always guess :hmm:. History may make us look ridiculous though. But who cares.

Enough rambling for me for now...
