You can debate who you think is better, or best. The question was your favorite, and that is undebateable.
I have loved far too many bands to ever be able to categorize that simply. Currently my favorite is a local Utah band, but modesty forbids me naming names.
(Of course I'm biased. How could I not be?)
Mainly because my hero as a young bass player was Jack Casady, I kind of have to go with Jefferson Airplane as my all-time favorite. On the other hand, I can start naming certain bands and not stop, so it's closer than I like to think about, and between more than I can count on both hands.
