I agree, but I get bugged when I see charts saying exactly how much of the debt each citizen owes. Who do I owe it too? I didn't see any of it. Actually I did, because of course each Congressman wants money for his district, and we all benefit, and technically the "Representative" represents me, but I end up being told I owe for things I didn't want or ask for, and won't use. So it's a conundrum, but it's still them who refuse to zip up their pockets. As the old saying goes, if I spent the way they do I'd end up in jail.
I guess it makes a difference when it's not your money.
