Hello all! Casual SH3/SH4 player here.

I recently felt like giving SH4 a go after I had played SH3 years ago.
I'm on my 3rd patrol in my career and I'm a little confused with what the game "wants" me to do.
Upon docking after my 2nd patrol, the cut-scene video plays, explaining that Japanese carriers are heading to a location around Indonesia.
Subs are to patrol these waters in the hopes of finding a Japanese flat-top while the allied fleet is on its way to intercept the region.
I was excited about a chance at a carrier, and started next the patrol, except the mission assigned to me is a recon trip to coastal Japan waters, no where near the cut-scene video's sub patrol/expected carrier target location???
Am I supposed to follow orders and head to Japan or do I head to Indonesia to be on the look out for a flat-top?
Seems very odd the game would take the time to show me a video about a prime target, talk about subs patrolling that region then assign me a mission in the completely opposite direction... Was kinda expecting the next mission to be a patrol, around Indonesia. Shocking I know.
Advice?
