Dictators do that all the time even to a much worse extent, no big deal. Only that hers was caught on film and aired on tv.
Now is the age of lying, stealing, cheating and murder. These things are now commonplace and should now be tolerable. Besides I heard might makes it right. She certainly more powerful than the little kid. I've also heard that right or wrong is relative and the world is unfair so better live to accept it.

It's one fuc*ked up world and she's part of it. It's not merely about stealing a baseball. It's the non existence of good judgment and a good heart. She had no shame.
