It's not that I dedicate so much time to modding, it's more of I know what I'm doing and that makes a big difference time wise. I have a 'normal' job that keeps me entertained Monday-Friday (and some weekends) plus hobbies (that eat much of my time!). I don't use tools (except for those that I developed myself) and thus I have knowledge of the file system and the files. S3D, to me, was the worst thing to ever come to the SH series. Now let me explain why I think so: You all learn nothing from it - just plug and chug

SH5 proves this point as S3D has limited use with it - and you can see the results of this - not much 'hard core' modding from people
