USMC 1978 -1983
MOS was 6541 Aviation Ordnance. trained on weapons systems for F 4 phantoms. Stationed at USMCAS EL Toro, Mag-11. Just got settled in loving my job when the F 18 was being introduced and F 4's were on the way out so I got sent back to a Navy Ordnance school to learn all about
F 14 weapons systems. Learned a lot except the Corps never had the
F 14 aircaft. Finally ended up as a doorgunner on a Huey flying off an LHA off the coast of Beirut.
Never set foot on the ground and never wanted to.
Medically discharged Christmas 1983.
