Has that bad math education let you down?

I don't eat school lunch. I was just making the point.

And yes, in some subjects, I do know more than my teachers. Is it supposed to be BAD that I do extensive research into some subjects? I'm an expert in the Pacific theater of WWII, all aspects of the major air forces of the 20'th century, and politics. I spend weeks and months and years researching and consulting with leading professors and authors simply because I enjoy those topics. Is that a problem to you?

Quite frankly you haven't managed to prove any point with regards to my first hand allegations, only to piss me and several other people off. To be honest I think an admin should review all the unprovoked insults you've been issuing in this thread.

Just because we don't share your elitist (in appearance), "the government knows best", point of view, doesn't make us wrong. That attitude is bigoted by definition. In fact, it appears that most people in this thread are against most of what has been talked about here.

Now, back on topic. With regards to detention conflicting with child care arrangements, let that be the parent's problem. It isn't the school's fault that the kid did whatever they did to deserve a detention. If it messes up the arrangements, let the parents deal with the kid in their own way after they serve the time. It is the kid's fault. The kid has to serve the punishment for the crime eventually. Reschedule it or something - don't let them off the hook.

I got suspended my 8th grade year for cussing out a rather large crowd in the hall because they were talking crap about my late brother. Did I get out of it because my parents had nobody to "take care" of me? No. My father drug me to the office every morning, which was not only humiliating, but boring as hell.

I fully recognize that this response is emotionally charged because I will not be called unintelligent by somebody that doesn't even know me.
