In real life it wasn't uncommon to hear of boats submerging to 275m+ either as a result of grounding themselves not getting the boat under control and hada just managed to sink that low without imploding. Most didn't make it below 200 though sometimes they got lucky and the crew had a well built boat to start with, and help goes a long way too
