I keep noticing the shellholes courtesy of the USS
Nautilus' six inch guns. Apparently she was called in to make the
Darter of less interest to the Japanese by wrecking her even more. The Japanese boarded her anyway. Whether they found anything of interest I've never heard. They may have marveled at the crew showers, ice cream maker, laundry machines, air conditioning system and other amenities completely alien to Japanese submarines and most Japanese surface ships.
