Boscombe Down is now run by QinetiQ, a private company from the embers of the public DERA. Huge profits were made by some  . The airfield is still controlled by RAF personnel, there is (was) a few small RAF sections - Harrier and Tornado software teams, Fast Jet Test Sqn, Heavy Aircraft Test Sqn, Rotary Wing Test Sqn, and obviously ETPS (very few Brit students, all Indian and beyond!). Obviously the Harrier software teams now going to be non-existant!
