I did the same thing myself, though purely by accident when I was messing around with sub variables, speed, etc. Check it out:



I had more pictures, but lost most of them during a recent reinstall. In the end, I achieved a total of 384 knots at a depth of -1252 feet (or above the water, in otherwords). It was pretty to funny to look down and see nothing below your sub since I was so far above the ocean. Crazy stuff. The crash was even better, it nose dived into the oceanfloor and spun like a top about a billion times before I got the death screen

I wish I could reproduce it but I never did have much luck. It wasn't the speed that made the sub go screaming out of the water at 300 knots. It was the whole richoccet effect from cranking the sub from 0-50 knots in 5 meters and clipping the ocean floor with the aft, which then sent it flying skyward. Pretty fun stuff overall. I do enjoy this game's physics engine
