Actually Kiwi, we no longer need constant internet connection to play. You only need to be connected when you first start the game, as it runs a quick check, and then you are free to play.
Trust me, I know this is true because I have satellite internet, the slightest rain, and I lose internet, so this lighter DRM is much better to deal with.
