My family loves to travel, and I can share some tips:

China: Every tourist location is a scam and a rip off, there are tickets for everything, and they cost a lot (some places charge up to 1000 RMB or almost 100 euros)

Philippians: cheap, fun, 5 star hotels, etc. The equipment and stuff are quite bad though, so if you want to do some diving or fishing, bring your own.

Cambodia: Ankor Wat, is worth going to, the rest of the country is not. Inflation is rampant, so don't even bother converting your money. USD is the de facto currency in tourist areas.

Malaysia: average place, the malls are good, but western brands are expensive, nothing much of interest.

Thailand: worth going to, the hotels and stuff are cheap, and there are historical sites of interest.

Singapore: Great place for some shopping, and just general relaxation. Again, the luxury hotels are far cheaper than in Canada or the US

Australia: Must see, I spend a month there, too many good things to do, and i love the seafood and steak. Though its way more expensive than south east Asia

New Zealand: great lamb, great scenery, We spent a week there.

Canada: great if you love the outdoors, but luxury travel is limited and expensive. More expensive than the US

United states: surprisingly, one of the cheapest vacation places. food, hotels, attractions are all the cheapest in developed country.

Anyways, I love to discuss travel, those are the places i have been to
I hope however, that it gets a little recreation over yet.
