I'm broke and unemployed

But that's not terrible since I plan to spend at least a couple of weeks in July with my parents at their very lovely place on the lake, up in the woods of Quebec - perfect for the july heat. You can literally jump out the window into cool water if you feel like it

However assuming that I'm guaranteed a teaching job for the fall, I will probably also whip out my credit card and take a trip in August to see friends in Virginia and North Carolina and spend a couple of weeks with them. I've been all over the US in the last couple of years, in fact I've seen more of it by now than any other country in the world, and I love spending my vacations visiting various friends there
