I think you're almost there.

I believe that when you are using TheDarkWraith's NewUIs 6.5.1, the two first items are already fixed, but I'm not shure about it, because I don't use it. The only thing then where you can use the Patcher for, is when you want to change the line colors in the maps.
Maybe some of the skippers here who are using this mod can help you a little bit more than I can.
