The GOP still believes in trickle down, they think by making corporations richer, jobs will be created. The last report showed corporations made better profits last quarter than when we had a booming economy in 2006, but they still lay off, ship jobs overseas and cut benefits. It's clear more profits doesn't equal trickle down.
The Dems think the government should take over about everything. So far it's about bail outs and entitlements, the GOP for corporations, the Dems for the poor, both will and have failed.

. It may be that our form of government may be the very instrument of our downfall?
All "empires" have a lifespan. For a long time we were riding pretty high. Perhaps we are experiencing the downfall of our "empire"?
