A TOP White House official said today that there is currently no evidence that Pakistan was aware that Osama bin Laden was hiding in the country. But US national security advisor Tim Donilon told NBC's
Meet the Press that Pakistan must continue to investigate the al-Qaeda leader's "support network".
"There was some support network in Abbottabad, Pakistan with the support of Bin Laden. We haven't seen evidence that the Government knew about that. But they need to investigate that," Mr Donilon said.
"I can tell you directly that - I've not seen evidence that would tell us that the political, the military, or the intelligence leadership had foreknowledge of Bin Laden."
