The Dornier appears to be a pre-service type as there is no dorsal apperature as evident on D models, let alone turrets on the G versions. However, given the testing of the early model Do 18s (1935 - 6) and the relative lateness of service introduction for U-29 (Nov 1936), I'm guessing this is a mid-1937 photo (brightness, seegang).
