pc games market might decrease, but its far away from dying!!! and i believe it will never die. read an interview with a console games developer and he said the pc platform is always the lead in games development. console games will keep to stay behind pc, cause the release of new consoles always takes years - new and better pc components are available every few month.
what might be far more dangerous to the pc gaming community than console games is the bad quality of unfinished pc-games beeing released, with a bad support afterwards. this process increased and became the major strategy of many publishers.
but i think this will also beeing corrected. bad quality never survives a long time, in particular in times of communication methods like the internet. so there will be new publishers and new studios, who release real quality games, like we had in the 80s and 90s. so, pc gaming will never die.
