I think that if your base is still at Brest, you will be teleported there if you quit any mission out at sea. So the lazy version would be just teleporting. Start a mission in La Spezia, sail out of port, sink them ships in the Med for a mission and get back close to La Spezia (if you want to keep it more realistic) then teleport. Think of it as your Kaleun and the crew leaving the boat in La Spezia and taking the train to Brest.
BDU just wanted you to deliver a reserve boat to La Spezia and trusted YOU to be the skipper that can sail through the straits with an undamaged submarine
You could then change your U-boats number to a new one to simulate getting a new boat.
