With different boats, you have really long patrols and rest periods and my patrols are often really short - on the last one I bumped into heavy traffic at BE66 and a convoy and was out of torpedoes in three days of action. The patrol lasted only something like 10 - 12 days. If the need arises, I'll adjust the time period when SH3Commander retires my current Kaleun.
