Just to be on the safe side I will keep delete the readme's and option Folders. after they are copy in the mod folder.

I do the same thing, I keep the original mod folders on a separate drive and when I copy them into the game's MODS folder I delete anything extraneous before enabling them. That way if I want to refer to the documentation I don't even have to touch the game folder to get to it.
