I can't see any loose contacts or anything on the pics you posted, but it might be much further into the device, these pics are just of the speaker itself but there's much more inside the thing than just these two and a half wires and a coil
Besides, it's not always easy to see. Just to be sure it isn't a loose contact, softly pull on all wires and see if they still stick to wherever they're attached to.

"Like underwater" is a bit vague. Does something happen to the frequencies, is there any noise added etc. etc.
