Yeah, because they never made any movies about submarines. Das Boot, The Enemy Below, Gray Lady Down, HFRO, and Crimson Tide must be figments of my imagination...

Das Boot, The Enemy Below and Crimson Tide hardly "glamorize" the submarine service. Das Boot was more of an Anti-War movie than a war movie, The Enemy Below is another Anti-War movie, and Crimson Tide is about a loony skipper wanting to start WWIII and a mutiny. With the exception of Das Boot, K-19 and THFRO all submarine movies from Hollywood in the past 25 years have either been incredibly bad or non-existent.
Once Hollywood gets is ass in gear and makes ‘Thunder Below’ in to a three hour masterpiece I might change my mind.
