This mod from DarkWraith or Racerboy (don't know who really made it) basically puts sh4 effects (smoke, fire, explosions) in sh3. I personally like the smoke in it better than Sober's smoke. Plus the explosions look really cool. I'll see if I can find some screens somewhere on my computer. But here's the link:

*EDIT* Hmm, I don't have any screens that show the effects well but it's quite beautiful. And in the link there's another link to a list with everything that has been added or changed in this mod. And it's quite a lot. I highly recommend it.
