This stuff sounds
so cool, but I hesitate to enter into the world of mods...
... because now that I've finally gotten the game to load and run flawlessly (at least in
my estimation) after months of video card and RAM problems, I hate to fix something that is seemingly not broken. I've read some posts from people having all sorts of problems with some of these mods. But then, I've also read posts from others who love the mods to bits, and wouldn't leave port without them. So I'm torn between lumbering along in a 'stock' game, and trying to upgrade life to 'super' status. :hmm:
What to do, what to do.
I've tried downloading some of the mods just to look at them (filewise) and the jibberish I see (like a video file) sort of makes me wonder what I'm getting into - so I don't get into
anything. I don't know if I'm missing something spectacular, or just some mild improvements that I can live without. I guess I'm just not ready to take the chance on messing up the game that it took months to get running in the first place. I think it's called being a "chicken".
