Here's two, one new and dramatic:
DISNEY HALL
...and one strange and spooky:
WINCHESTER MYSTERY HOUSE
The Disney Hall is the home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and was primarily financed by the Disney family.
The Winchester Mystery House is the former home Sarah Winchester, the widow of the heir to the Winchester Firearms Company. After the tragic death of her daughter and husband, she turned to spiritualism to try to get answers to why her life had turned so tragic. A spirtualist told her she was cursed by the ghosts of the souls killed by Winchester firearms and to atone for their deaths, she had to build a home for them. She was also told she would not die as long as construction continued on the house. While the exterior is a striking example of Victorian architecture, the interior is a maze of bizarre and amazing rooms, staircases, and other structural oddities. Work on the house continued non-stop for over 30 years; one day, workers decided to stop working and goof off. Mrs. Winchester was found dead that day.
