I seem to get the lateral offset from time to time also and I can't see any pattern in its occurence. The workaround is easy though, like any gun where the sights are out and you can't adjust them - compensate. Aim right or left depending on how far the sight is out. That's what I've been doing anyway and happily blowing things out of the water
