Actually, it was stolen from them before that, too., waaay back when the Teutonic Knights decided it would be fun to run roughshod over the pagans. And after WW2 Poland was occupied by the Soviets.
Now that I think about it, Poland has spent a great deal of its history being occupied or as a puppet state. Why haven't the Poles stood up and defended their borders? I mean, after all, how many Poles could it possibly take to defend the borders?
