@LW : I dont think USMORS (http://www.usmors.org/) and MORS (your link) are affiliated with each other, at least not in any official, discerniable way (for me, that is).

The following is the Disclaimer taken right from the USMORS website.

Disclaimer
The United States Military Research Society (USMORS) is in no way affiliated with the US Government or any of its official agencies. Our activities in no way implies any sort of approval, endorsement, or authorization by the US Armed Forces or any other agency of the US Government.

And then there is the statement from the "Home" page (sorry no Header there except USMORS)

USMORS
The mission of the United States Military Operations Research Society is to enhance and expand the quality, availability, and usefulness of military operations research in developing, analyzing, and validating new revolutionary warfighting concerpts by probing potential warfare concepts for the 21st century.

Through a innovative process we provide for rapid turnaround of ideas and fully developed operational concepts in a dynamic manner that contributes directly to major US Dept of Defense programs and operational commands.

And the "About Us" Statement

About Us (USMORS)
USMORS is an independent, all volunteer, think-tank. Originally setup within a few days after the tragic events of Sept 11, 2001. (The USMORS is neither owned nor operated by any agency of the US Government.)

Our Mission.... To enhance and expand the quality, availability, and usefulness of military operations research in developing, analyzing, and validating new revolutionary warfighting concepts ...

Our Profile... as an independent, all volunteer group (of present and former members of the US Armed Forces), USMORS is the ideal clearinghouse for providing the most accurate analysis and solutions to the entire US Defense community...

Our Focus... Changing world conditions and US force levels, structure, and capability demand improvement in the ability to react globally...

Maybe its because I'm not a native speaker (in english), but somehow those three statements dont really match (for me).
