Cool - thanks for the reply guys. I tried this method and it mostly works. I opened them all, and some stay open. But, I find that if, after doing this, I select another tube then the tube I was on closes, but this doesn't happen for further switches.

I've never had a door close on me if I personally flipped the switches at the weapons station.
