Well that was it for U 47
Attack on a heavily escorted convoy in AM 53 in 1942. 1 tanker and 2 C2 were not enough for the arrogant skipper of U47 who instead of fleeing decided to hold on a little to long.
After 2 hours of hide and seek with 4 destroyers and a corvette, U47 was lost with all crew... At least it must have cost them a fortune. The destroyers nust have spend half of USA's budget depth charging me
