I only asked because my Jewish friends aren't exactly "happy" when I say I'm playing a U-Boat sim on the German side.

Same goes for a fellow Rotarian who served on British escort destroyers during the war on the Murmansk runs.
Ummmmm, :hmm: let me see, perhaps your Jewish friends are either 'anti-war', 'anti-german' or totally brainwashed! (BTW Avon Lady exemplifys what (we) playing SH3 is all about - ITS A COMMUNITY and it's a GAME - anything else is probably in the individuals 'mind', but 'Avon Lady' is much better qualified to answer you than I (being of German decent)!

Your Rotary Club friend probably revelled in the destruction of any German u-boot, chalking it up as a 'kill' - so, really, he has no room to talk!

Moral here is 'ALL' war brings unnecessary suffering (mostly to innocents), the Jews had their own form of private hell in the 'Holocaust', Britain had 'Dunkirk', France, had their 'fair share of Wars', Russia had their 'revolution' and, Germany had their own holocaust in the fire storm of 'Dresden'.

Even more recently new wars have captured the World's attention: Vietnam, IRA, Mogadishu, Kosova, Iraq etcettra....

We, here on the forums (and this is not directed at you Curval) accept that we have chosen a game that has something of an historical theme - but.....................

It beats the hell out of 'Doom' or 'Need for Speed' :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
