May I ask you to look for a better boat? Based on shakedown, we actually consumed 66, 87, 110, 160 and 188 miles approximately per gallon (ehem, %?) on flank, full, standard, 2/3, and 1/3. Sargo is a limp boat when it comes to ranges, and I suggest you hump around Saipan/Palau/ Carolines area, till you get a Gato or a Porpoise. Reading wikipedia, found the boats range to be 20000km @10kts.
. The only way to be sure, is to shakedown your boat to the west coast, and try a 1000 km increments at various speeds, note down mpg. Also note charge consumption while underway submerged at daylight.
