I even wondered if I could somehow start the game prior to 1.9.39 since in R/L the first patrols left port in August and were already in position in the Atlantic and North Sea when the war began. Prien was in the Bay of Biscay when the war started.

Have you had any CTD in Scapa Flow or other congested areas? What system are you running and how much memory?
