You'll need to split up the board into sections (haven't played that game in years myself either, so probably would need to scan it 6-8 times in order to get the full board) at a very high resolution. When I need to stitch together a large photo/poster I'll scan it at 600dpi; what gets difficult is lining up the scans into one large picture where all the edges line up properly and the map is geographically correct. Depending on the version of PS there's a built in function for printing poster by using multiple sheets of paper. Put in the paper size and it'll calculate what sizes it needs to make and once its printed you just line them up.

If you have a small scanner and/or no color printer then its academic. Only solution is probably going to be Kinko's or a local print shop if you can find one. A (real) print shop would be ideal, if you have a local one that's privately owned and been around the neighborhood for many years you'll probably have the best luck there out of all the options. Places like Kinko's have no problems with hitting you hard with the pricing, someone local is more likely to be friendly and give you a discount or charge you at a greatly reduced rate (especially if he/she also was and Axis & Allies player from way back when as well).
Hmm alright. Right now Im focussed on getting a new set of rules implemented. Things that change the base of alot of units.

What Ive come up with so far is letting transports carry 4 instead of 2, or letting subs(To really make the more powerful) get two rolls per round (Simulating 4 tubes), and not being able to be attacked unless destroyers or planes are in the area to depthcharge them. Except on every 3rd attack round they must surface and can be hit by all ships. Crazy stuff like that. I actually tested the rules out last night and I quite liked the few changes I made, they worked pretty well. I changed the suprise attack so it really becomes one (Instead of you get a suprise attack with the sub then it cant participate in the next attack, it gets the suprise attack with no retaliation roll and then gets its normal combat rolls, and in the suprise attack is the only one where the attacker can choose whats hit)
