October 16th, 1941 - Half a month has passed since the new German offensive has begun, and it is already bogging down in the mud. The Red Army establishes a new defensive line southwest of Moscow, certain that it will stop the fascist hordes. Meanwhile, the glorious comrades of the 148th Rifle Division, trapped over 100 kilometers behind German lines, take not one step back as they defend their positions on the Desna river to the last man.
