If you need a speedy game with lots of action, you are in the wrong place.

Full TC (1024, although it can be set higher) means your watch crew is making a sweep every 17 minutes. A fast moving escort can move 7 nautical miles in that time, and more than kill you.

At 1024, you will miss countless loners and even convoys, unless they run right over you.

Planes will have a 6000-10,000 meter advantage, if you are lucky.

Further, by speeding up in murky weather, you simply further reduce your chances of spotting targets.

And that is in stock. If you are running 1024 in GWX, god help you. You will either be sunk without knowing why, or come home with no tonnage, without knowing why.
