There's a nice mod that allows starting patrols from subpens (where available), although I dunno if it interferes with Rub, etc. (I doubt it interferes with other mods. It seems only to mod sub location at the start of a patrol).

Backup original file and place Campaign_LND.mis in folder..
X:\SH3\data\Campaigns\Campaign
