Boeing has won the deal with the US Air Force to replace its existing tankers

Aircraft manufacturer Boeing has won a lucrative contract to provide the US with 179 aerial refuelling tankers.
Boeing and European rival EADS had been competing for almost a decade for the $35bn (£21.6bn) US Air Force contract.
A much-needed shot of good news for Boeing, after the miniscule orders for the 748i and the 787 delays. Have to say I would have preferred to see the A330 win out here, mostly on basis of looks

The question now is - how quickly can the Pentagon/DoD turn that $35 billion price tag into a $350 billion catastrophe?
