Thank you for this post that gives me valuable infos regarding the depth charged of the Unseen. My grand father was there that day, he was NCO mechanic in charge of the deck operation on the "impetueuse". One of his men (still alive) told us last year that he recalled this depth charge episode but never knew if the submarine was Gernan or English, I guess he will be happy to know the name of the mysterious submarine
