I only know of a few ships he served upon, there was a list but alas I have lost it, however I know he was on HMS Iron Duke at one point, and HMS Arrow at another (which is where the picture in my avatar was taken) and he was assigned to HMS Barham in November 1941, fortunately for some reason or another he wasn't able to make her sailing, and she left port without him, only to be torpedoed by U-331 and sunk with heavy casualties. Someone up top was looking after him that day, in fact, all of my family on my mothers side have been fortunate in war, from the Battle of Balaclava to Dunkirk and the Strathallan, through to Malaya.
