When the number one industry of a country is the ability to invade countries and kill other nation's citizens, it tends to make other countries a bit nervous.

You know what we could do. We could stop building all of our military equipment and but the cheaper Russian stuff and re-fit it with our electronics.

On a serious note, it's funny when it comes to base closures. Closes all the bases, but not my base! There was a suggestion to get rid of the OR national air guard, all of the lefties here were freaking out: "How will we defend ourselves?"
