All of Fred's stuff will work in Sh5.... But most "Events" are dated for Sh4, ie,, 1940's.
I have several of his stations running in Sh5, and have composed a couple of my own, so I know they will play fine.
If you are having trouble, it is probably with the "Installation".
Try this :
Goto **xxx\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\data\Sound\Radio** Folder.
In there will be the Radio Station Folders and a file named "radio.ini"
For a Quick and Dirty Test, Create a NEW Folder and Name it "My Station".
Copy a few songs, News, radio shows or whatever into your new folder "My Station". ( One Song is enough for our test.... I use MP3, or ogg formats... both seem to work for me.)
Now Open the file "radio.ini" that should be in the fore stated **xxx\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\data\Sound\Radio** Folder. ( Use NotePad to open. )
It will look something like this :
[GENERAL]
RadioRealism=Yes
StartCh=1
[CHANNEL]
Name=Washington
Folder=Washington
Freq=22
Antenna=01.01.1930-01.01.2000:44.16,-35.10:100000
MusicVolumeOnNews=0.01
Now we will add your NEW Test Station by adding this :
[CHANNEL]
Name=My Station
Folder=My Station
Freq=32
Antenna=01.01.1930-01.01.2000:44.16,-35.10:100000
MusicVolumeOnNews=0.01
When finished it should look like this :
[GENERAL]
RadioRealism=Yes
StartCh=1
[CHANNEL]
Name=Washington
Folder=Washington
Freq=22
Antenna=01.01.1930-01.01.2000:44.16,-35.10:100000
MusicVolumeOnNews=0.01
[CHANNEL]
Name=My Station
Folder=My Station
Freq=32
Antenna=01.01.1930-01.01.2000:44.16,-35.10:100000
MusicVolumeOnNews=0.01
Save and close.... then go try it in Game.
Your Station will be on Freq. 32, so dont forget to tune to that Freq.
Any Help ?
