The UK sucks for firearms
Hopefully when things get more settled workwise this year I'll put in for my SGC (shot gun certificate) for a bit of clay shooting a couple of times a month... Cheapish shotguns ftw - Baikal mp 153 12g semi auto (remmington spr 453) took my fancy, but I also saw a nice benelli (franchi fast 12g semi auto) recently. Criteria are cheap (~ £600-700 new) and reliable, will last a lifetime and not suffer feed issues over light loads and shell brands.
Unfortunately we are limited to 1 in the chamber and 2 in the magazine, unless you do 'practical shotgun' on a FAC, but that doesn't sound like much fun to me.
I guess being single does have some advantages: you don't have some feeble woman who thinks air guns are so dangerous that she wouldn't even hold one for fear it might 'do something'
