oRGy,

First things first. Good job sir. My thanks to you and everyone who contributed to this.

I now have black sky whenever the sun should be visible. At night I see beautiful stars and a really nice moon. During the day, if the weather is overcast the sky looks right, i.e. good looking clouds. However when the sky should be clear, it is black. I can see the sun as a big pale yellow ball, fairly plain; and I can see the moon, beautifully rendered, but the sky is uniformly black everywhere else. As soon as the sun sets, the stars come back out and all is well.

Now, I did not experience this on my first patrol with IUB. Everything looked fine. The problem appeared after I updated my nvidia driver to 81.85. I then tried the beta 81.87 and the sky was still black. I am going to try now to revert to whatever I had before, seventy something, I hope I can find it.

I installed IUB by first going to SH3 Commander 2.2 and doing a rollback. Next, I used JSME to remove everything I had loaded. Then I deleted the data directory from my SHIII directory and copied a clean v1.4b version back into that directory. Finally, I used JSME to install IUB and nothing else.

My system is:
P4 2.4 GHz
Win XP fully patched
1 GB ram
nvidia GeForce FX 5700 LE 128MB

And I always run "end it all" before playing.

Again let me say how much I like this mod. I have always used RUB, and really appreciate the realism, but I also like the eye candy. Before IUB I would have RUB and 15 other mods loaded via JSME (another fine program) but often couldn't remember which version of which mod caused which effect. I was fighting CTDs constantly. Now I am envisioning a future where I use Commander and IUB and nothing else. My life is complicated enough, anything to simplify it is greatly appreciated.

I have some sense of the list of contributers but I'm sure I am not aware of them all. And I realize that there are a lot. To everyone who contributed to this project: The drinks are on me if we ever meet; in the meantime, thanks again and keep up the good work.
