I've contacted Amazon Customer Service regarding this and here's an excerpt from their reply:
We encourage you to contact the sellers by e-mail and explain the situation. Your sellers are under no obligation, but they may be willing to make delivery arrangements. Please know that in such an event it is likely that they will ask you to pay higher postage costs.
To contact a seller, click on the seller's nickname ("Benutzername") and then on "Kontaktieren Sie diesen Verkäufer" to get to the contact form.
Please note that you have to sign in with your e-mail address and password to do so.
