They will crash aslower if the weather is better. The rough weather slams them around faster.

So to help prevent this, stay outside of 50km from the port (so they don't spawn) and wait for decently calm weather. You don't want really calm weather as you want some cover. And I've been thrashed on the bottom in rough water trying to return to Bergen. Had to sit in the outer Fjord for 2 days till it broke. So you need to find a happy medium of rough and calm weather.

But of course, you still get this, from my recent attack on Reykjavik:

It was a good sized freighter run up on the Dock. Was going to post a DINSDALE!!! pic... but it's too dark to make out well....
